Iraqi Widows at Al-Wafaa Camp Project:

WAFDI is working with a targeted number of 30 women on basic job skills training
and small home-based businesses. We provided a sewing training course at the

machines. We are now working on raising funds to build a workshop for the women
inside the camp. The workshop will be a "Sewing factory" for the women, where they
can produce clothes and other garments such as hospital gowns, sheets, curtains,
etc., and then market their products directly to the public. This is a small business
that is owned by the women for the benefit of the women. All the proceeds will go
the women and their families.
